As an Assistant Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of our tea kitchen and deliver exceptional tea-based beverages and treats to our customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking a variety of tea-based beverages, snacks, and treats, ensuring quality and consistency in taste.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help in developing and testing new tea-based recipes and innovative menu items to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure adherence to standardized recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency in product quality.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen, following all health and safety guidelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering supplies as needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth food preparation and timely service during peak hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide support during tea tastings and special events as required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain a positive and cooperative working environment, contributing to a cohesive and efficient team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the Head Chef in training and mentoring new kitchen staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stay updated on industry trends, tea varieties, and cooking techniques to enhance the overall quality of our offerings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience as a Kitchen Assistant, Commis Chef, or similar role, with a focus on tea-based products preferred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge and passion for teas, including various tea types and brewing methods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic understanding of food preparation techniques, cooking, and baking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong attention to detail, ensuring precise measurements and presentation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Culinary or hospitality degree\/certification is a plus, but not mandatory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Join our growing Tea Startup and be a part of an enthusiastic team that brings the joy of tea to customers every day.
